Visualization

Parker Woody, who was also in my group, taught Kurt and I about visualization.

Visualization denotes a way to communicate a message through visual means.  In our culture today, we live in a world of visualization - billboards and ads surround us everywhere!

Parker taught us about a cool site: wordle.net.  Through it, you can create word clouds! I'll take you through the process below!

1. Go to wordle.net. Click on the "create" button on the top of the screen. It should lead you to a screen that looks like this:


2. Copy and paste the text you want in your word cloud into the box. Or, you can link to site and it will take words off of that site. (for example, you can use your blog).  The input box for that is under the one shown above.  Click the "go" button.

3.  Your wordle will appear!


4. You can change the appearance of your word cloud by clicking the buttons above it.
